  • Melissa Staroszik

Melissa began her journey in design when she twelve years old. As a competitive rhythmic gymnast from Edmonton, Canada, Melissa loved designing her own costumes which her mother would then bring to life with her sewing skills.

Curious in nature, Melissa watched her mothers’ every move and learned to sew on a sewing machine, serger and by hand simply by watching. Fast forward to today, Melissa is not only the owner and Director of Elite Entertainment Global but the mastermind and stylist behind our most notable looks.

  • Maki Smith - Saruwatari

Maki Saruwatari was born in Osaka,Japan. She started twirling baton when she was 2 years old and started training classic ballet one year later, then got into the world of dance when she was 7 and fell in love with what a human body can do through its movement and art of telling stories through dance.

Design came naturally to Maki as she also spent years designing her own dance costumes. Maki recently branched out into costume design and has created Designs by Maki, catering specifically to performing artists. We are so happy to have Maki as part of the team.
