Hair & Make Up

  • Donna Delia

If done right, make-up, like all creative departments on a TV and film set, is almost invisible to the audience. They don't see the talent and expertise, they just see the beauty, glamour, or the horror of the FX makeup. Like a perfect make-up, the artist is also invisible. Donna DeLia is one of those masters of shadow - and also highlight and contour with a little glitter thrown in.

Her extensive carrier has stretched more than a decade and has taken her from the streets of New York to the hills of LA. In that time, Donna has worked with some of the biggest names in pop culture, history, and the arts. As a freelance artist, she has worked with Nickelodeon, MTV, Paramount Studios, iHeartRadio, and many celebrities including Britney Spears, Betty Who, and Rudy Mancuso.

Donna is an artist and a teacher at heart. She loves to inspire the next generation of make-up artists in her free time, as well as be a mentor on set. With a strong passion for life, love, and glitter, Donna is both a joy to have on set, or at your event. She is a creative ninja, able to bring your creative ideas to life.

  • Christina Barras

My goal through makeup is to always create a look that feels timeless, iconic and expensive. This is the gold standard that I am always striving for. My passion for makeup started at an early age, as I was already applying fake eyelashes on myself at the age of 8 for dance competitions. Through my love of dance, my love of makeup grew right along side it. Fast forward to my early twenties, this dynamic duo guided me through industry standards of “looking the part” as a professional dancer which led to a greater knowledge and expansion of my desire to do makeup. Seeing as I was good at makeup, I loved it but I wasn’t doing it professionally, inspired me to take a number of celebrity makeup artist courses and practice on tons of my friends— exploring different face shapes, textures and skin tones.

Through honing in on my craft, word spread that I, Christina Barras, also do makeup. Increased demand for my services led to the realization that I was ready to start my business. The birth of Beat by Barras. Today, Beat by Barras’ work can be found in commercials for Proactiv, Easton, Mazda, Staples and more, headshots and creative shoots for the dance industry’s leading choreographers and dancers, as well as music videos, television, and film.

  • Melissa Staroszik

The freedom to create is something that Melissa has loathed since she was little. Playing dress up and experimenting with hair and make up was encouraged. As a competitive rhythmic gymnast, Melissa’s first experience was with stage make up. Melissa went on to become a world renowned professional dancer where she further developed her skill.

As you might have already pieced together, Melissa is the creator and founder of Elite Entertainment Global. When Melissa created the Elite resources were tight, which meant hiring herself as the make up artist and designing the looks.

Melissa’s specialty is in etherial make up design and special effects. Melissa is the one responsible for our Arctic Mermaid look, Ice Queens, Geisha’s, Couture Sugar Skulls and designing the Living Golden Statue which was executed by Donna Delia
